Installation
Security panel on the wall
For wall mounting, you need the security panel (1x), the wall mounting plate (1x) and screws (2x).
- Fix the mounting plate to the wall with the screws, with the side marked "OMHOOG" (up) at the top. Drive the screws all the way into the wall and mount the plate level.
- Line up the hole on the back of the panel with the mounting plate and attach the panel.
If you are using cables in the wall, remove the bracket and the cable clip first.
Security panel on a desk
The panel has a stand on the back. You can place it directly on a desk, without drilling holes in the wall, and put it anywhere in your home.
When choosing a spot for the panel, keep the following in mind:
- Place the panel in the centre of your home for the best signal reception and transmission.
- Place it closer to the Wi-Fi router.
- Do not install the panel on metal surfaces or against load-bearing walls.
Connecting the power supply and wired zones
The panel has two power inputs: 12V/1A and a 5V/2A USB-C port. Use only one of them: do not connect both and do not use them at the same time. Connect the 12V input (+12V and GND) to a 100-240V AC power supply.
The terminal strip for the 8 wired zones has the terminals ZB, GND, Z7, Z6, GND, Z5, Z4, GND, Z3, Z2, GND and Z1. The black wires are the 4 common terminals (COM); the other coloured wires connect the 8 wired sensors. In the wiring diagram, each black wire goes to two zones: Zone 8 and Zone 7, Zone 6 and Zone 5, Zone 4 and Zone 3, Zone 2 and Zone 1.
Entry sensor on a door or window
- Wipe the surface of the door or window clean and apply double-sided tape to the underside.
- Stick the transmitter (large) and the magnet (small) on separately. The small triangles on the transmitter and the magnet must point towards each other, and the gap between them must not exceed 0.6".
- Open the door or window. If the light stays on for 2 seconds, the sensor is installed correctly.
Motion sensor
- The recommended height is 79 to 87 inches (2.0 to 2.2 m) above the floor.
- Mount the sensor in a corner or on a flat wall, with no obstacles or blind spots.
- Do not point the sensor directly at cold or warm air vents, or at sources of heat or cold.
- Keep pets away from the sensor to prevent false alarms.
To mount it:
- Screw the base to the wall.
- Hang the motion sensor on the pivot.
Inserting and replacing batteries
Entry sensor
- Door sensor A (CR2032 x 1): the drawing shows "Optillen" (lift) in two places: when the sensor is already fitted to a door or window, and on first use.
- Door sensor B (CR2450 x 2): slide the back cover in the direction of the arrow to remove it.
Controller
- Slide the triangular tool (at the opening slot) left and right along the gap in the housing, then prise the housing open.
- Replace the battery (3V CR2032).
Multifunction button
To open the cover:
- Pull the top cover outwards.
- Open the top cover at the bottom.
To close the cover:
- Secure the lower end of the top cover to the lower end of the bottom cover, at the battery end.
- Simply press the top cover into place.

The screenshots in the manual show the steps:
- The pencil icon at the top right of the "Smart Security Panel" screen.
- Under "Other": "Share Device".
- On the "Share Device" screen, the "Add Sharing" button, with the message "Device is not shared, add an account to share".
Note: if the panel is not connected to the network, the person you share it with may not be able to control it.
Operation and settings
Panel alarm modes
- "Away": the panel monitors the home. If an accessory is triggered, the alarm goes off.
- "Home": you are at home. In this mode, you can have certain zones monitored and set them to trigger alarms.
- "Disarm": the panel stops monitoring. Only the SOS button and accessories set to "Always" can still trigger the alarm.
Accessory modes
- "Away/Home": the alarm goes off as soon as the sensor is triggered while the panel is set to "Away" or "Home". This mode is recommended for an outdoor sensor.
- "Away": the alarm goes off as soon as the sensor is triggered while the panel is set to "Away". This mode is recommended for an outdoor detector.
- "Always": the alarm always goes off when the sensor is triggered, whatever mode the panel is in. This mode is recommended for gas leak detectors, smoke alarms and similar devices.
- "Disabled": the panel does not respond to an alarm signal from this sensor.
You decide which sensors are active in "Home" mode, in "Away" mode, in both or at all times. For example, if you don't want the alarm to go off while you are at home, set that sensor to "Away". When the panel is set to "Home", that sensor does not trigger the alarm; it only does so in "Away" mode.
"Connection" menu
The "Connection" menu contains "WiFi", "Phone" and, under "Accessory", the "Sensor", "Controller", "Doorbell", "Wired", "Keypad" and "Siren" buttons.
Under "Sensor", the wireless sensors are divided into four groups:
- "Entry": manage all entry sensors here.
- "Motion": manage all motion sensors here.
- "Urgent": emergency detectors such as SOS buttons, gas detectors and smoke detectors.
- "General": add other sensors or detectors here.
The other buttons:
- "Controller": manage all remote controls here.
- "Doorbell": manage all doorbells here.
- "Keypad": manage all keypads here.
- "Siren": press this to pair a wireless siren.
Good to know:
- The system works with 433MHz, ev1527 accessories.
- If you have entry sensors from another brand, add them under "General".
- The panel supports up to 160 sensors, 6 controllers, 6 doorbells and 6 keypads.
Wired sensors
The "Wired Sensor" screen shows the 8 wired zones, from "Wired 0" to "Wired 7".
- Wire mode: you can change the NO/NC status.
- A green "O/C" means the normal state, a red "O/C" the abnormal state.
- The black wires are 4 common terminals (COM); the other coloured wires connect the 8 wired sensors.
"Phone" menu
Under "Phone" you will find a dial pad for making calls and the "Settings" button. In "Phone Setting", enter your emergency numbers and save them with "Save". For each number, switch the phone icon and the envelope icon (SMS) on or off, as you prefer.
- Phone number: if calling or texting a number does not work, add the dialling code in front of the number: 00XX, 0XX.
- Alarm sequence: when the alarm goes off, the panel first sends text messages to the numbers you have set, in the order you set them. Then the panel starts calling, beginning with the first number. If that number does not answer after three calls in a row, the panel calls the second number, and so on. Once someone answers, the remaining numbers are not called.
- Unlocking the SIM card: the SIM card requires a PIN code; the network provider usually sets it to something like 1234 or 0000. Disable that PIN on a phone first.
Controlling the panel by SMS
You can arm and disarm the panel by SMS. This requires firmware version 1.0.20 or higher.
| No. | SMS command | What the panel does | Reply SMS |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Weg inschakelen | The panel switches to "Away" mode | Systeem ingeschakeld! |
| 2 | Thuis inschakelen | The panel switches to "Home" mode | Systeem ingeschakeld! |
| 3 | Uitschakelen | The panel switches to "Disarm" mode | Systeem uitgeschakeld! |
The panel sends a text back to confirm that the command has been carried out. The panel only accepts SMS commands from the phone number set in the panel ("Phone" menu, then "Settings"). The panel does not recognise SMS commands from other numbers and ignores them.
"Security" menu
The "Security" menu contains "Delay", "Alarm" and "Code".
- "Delay": sets the countdown time for an alarm or for arming.
Codes:
- User code: the default user code is 1234.
- System code: the default system code is 9876.
- Hidden code: when you enter the code, you can type 5 to 8 digits. As long as the correct 4 digits appear consecutively among them, the panel accepts the code.
- Password validity: if you turn this on, you don't need to enter the password again within 2 minutes while the screen is on.
Alarm:
- Local alarm: choose whether the panel itself sounds an alarm.
- Siren alarm: choose whether the external signal sounds an alarm.
- Siren beep: choose whether the siren beeps when you arm or disarm the panel.
- Delay beep: choose whether a beep sounds when arming or during the alarm delay.
"Settings" menu
The "Settings" menu contains "Time", "Display", "Audio", "Language", "Restore", "Clean", "About" and "Help".
- "Time": set the time and choose how the date is displayed.
- "Audio": set the volume and turn the key tone and voice prompts on or off.
- "Display": set how long the screen stays on and how bright it is.
- "Language": English, German, Русский, Spanish, Italian, Polskie, Français, Português, Nederlands and 简体中文.
- "Restore": restart the panel or reset it to factory settings.
- "Clean": the screen goes black for 1 minute so you can clean it easily.
- "About": panel details such as model, version and IMEI.
- "Help": the user manual.
Settings in the app
In the app, tap "Settings" to change the panel's settings directly. You can control the panel remotely with the app. You can also set the arming and disarming times.
