Terms

  • Away Arm: the panel is monitoring and sounds the alarm as soon as an accessory is triggered.
  • Stay Arm: for when you are at home. In this mode, certain zones can be monitored and trigger the alarm.
  • Disarm: the panel stops monitoring. Only the SOS button and accessories set to "24h Always Active" can still trigger the alarm.
  • Detector: install each detector in the area that suits its type. When the detector is triggered, it immediately sends an alarm to the panel. Common detectors are door sensors, infrared sensors, smoke detectors and gas detectors.
  • Arming delay: when you select "Away Arm", the panel only arms after a delay, giving you time to leave the protected area.
  • Alarm delay: when the panel receives an alarm from a detector, it waits for a set time before the alarm goes off. During that time you can cancel the alarm with your user password.
  • Siren time: how long the alarm sounds. After that, the siren stops.
  • Emergency number: when the alarm goes off, the panel texts or calls this number so that you are alerted immediately.
  • User password: 1234 by default; you can change it yourself. You need it for Wi-Fi setup, disarming, setting up accessories, setting phone numbers and the security settings.
  • System password: 9876 by default; you can change it yourself. You need it for "Restore" (factory settings) and "Restart".
  • Password rules: after you enter the correct password, you don't need to enter it again as long as the screen stays on (the screen time you set yourself), up to a maximum of 5 minutes. In the latest version, the maximum is 2 minutes. After that, the panel asks for the password again.
  • Hidden password: you can enter 5 to 8 digits. As long as the 4 correct digits appear consecutively in that sequence, the panel accepts the password.
  • Local alarm: when the alarm goes off, the panel speaker and the wired siren sound.
  • Siren alarm: when the alarm goes off, the panel sends a wireless signal that sets off the wireless siren. The alarm volume of the wireless siren can be set to maximum.
  • Siren beep: when the panel status changes, the panel makes the wireless siren beep briefly as a warning.
  • Delay beep: a reminder tone sounds during the arming delay and the alarm delay.
  • Door/window open warning: if you arm the panel while a door or window is still open, a notification appears on the panel.
  • Door/window open chime: the panel makes a sound when a door or window opens.
  • Voice prompts: the panel gives a spoken prompt when you operate it.
  • Key tone: a sound plays when you touch a button on the screen.
  • Doorbell: when someone presses the doorbell button, the panel plays a "ding-dong". No alarm follows.
  • Remote operation: you can arm and disarm the panel with the app.
  • Timer: in the app, you can set the time at which the panel switches to "Away Arm", "Stay Arm", "Disarm" or SOS.
  • Zone: a number for each detector. When an alarm goes off, the zone number tells you where it came from.
  • Alarm type: you assign each detector a type that matches the kind of detector and its location. After an alarm, you can then quickly see which device is involved. The alarm types are: System alarm, Door alarm, Living room alarm, Panic alarm, Bedroom alarm, Window alarm, Balcony alarm, Perimeter alarm, Fire alarm, Gas leak, CO leak and Water leak.

The 7 zone modes

Each detector is assigned a zone mode, which determines when the detector triggers an alarm.

  1. All Arm Active: the panel sounds the alarm if the detector is triggered while the panel is set to "Away Arm" or "Stay Arm". Recommended for outdoor detectors.
  2. Stay Arm Active: the panel sounds the alarm if the detector is triggered while the panel is set to "Stay Arm". Recommended for outdoor detectors.
  3. 24h Always Active: the panel always sounds the alarm when the detector is triggered, whatever mode it is in. Recommended for gas detectors and smoke alarms.
  4. Disarm: the panel does not respond to an alarm from a detector in this mode.
  5. Secret Report: if an accessory in this mode is triggered, the panel only sends a remote notification (app notification, phone call or SMS). No local alarm sounds.
  6. All Arm Active (no delay): the panel sounds the alarm immediately if the detector is triggered while the panel is set to "Stay Arm", without an alarm delay.
  7. Away Arm Active (no delay): the panel sounds the alarm immediately if the detector is triggered while the panel is set to "Away Arm", without an alarm delay.

Motion detector

There are two versions, A and B.

Motion detector A:

  • Front: the infrared detection area (keep this clear) and an infrared status indicator.
  • Back: a switch with the positions "ON" (infrared on) and "OFF" (infrared off), and the battery compartment. Battery: 9V 6F22 (carbon-zinc battery).

Motion detector B:

  • Front: the infrared detection area (keep this clear) and an infrared status indicator.
  • Back: a switch with the positions "ON" (infrared on) and "OFF" (infrared off), a pairing button, a screw hole and the battery compartment. Battery: 3 x 1.5 V AA.

Remote control

The remote control has four buttons:

  • the top left button (shield with tick): arm while you are away ("Away Arm");
  • the top right button (shield with a person): "Stay Arm";
  • the round button in the middle (crossed-out shield): "Disarm";
  • the bottom button marked "SOS": emergency alarm.

Door/window sensor

The sensor consists of a transmitter (large) and a magnet (small). There are two versions:

  • Door sensor A runs on a 23A 12V alkaline battery.
  • Door sensor B runs on a 3V CR2032 coin cell and has an anti-removal button.

The door sensor light stays on for 2 seconds when an alarm is triggered and flashes for 2 seconds when the battery is low.

Doorbell

  • You can stick or screw the doorbell in place.
  • No power consumption in standby.
  • Runs on 12 V DC. Higher transmission power and a longer wireless range.

Installation

Placing the panel

  • Set the battery switch on the back to "ON" before you use the panel.
  • The panel is powered through the micro USB port (5V 1A).
  • The 2G/4G version has a micro SIM card slot on the side.

When choosing a location, keep the following in mind:

  • Mount the panel as close as possible to all the detectors for the best wireless connection.
  • The panel and detectors work wirelessly. Choose a spot as far as possible from household appliances that cause high-frequency interference and from heavy doors that the signal struggles to pass through.

Placing the motion detector

  1. Mount the detector 2.0 to 2.2 metres above the ground. The detection range is 7 metres and the detection angle is 110°.
  2. The transmission range is 150 metres without obstacles. Test the range before you fix the detector in place. Obstacles can affect the transmission range.
  3. Position the detector at an angle to the direction in which people walk through the room. Detection works best at 90° to that direction.

Also keep the following in mind:

  • Do not point the detector directly at glass, doors or windows.
  • Do not point the detector at warm or cold air vents, or at sources of heat and cold.
  • Make sure there is no furniture, large plants or other obstacles within the detection range.
  • Do not mount several detectors in the same area. They can interfere with each other if they are triggered at the same time.

Placing the door/window sensor

The sensor goes on the door or window.

  1. First clean the area on the door, then take the sensor and apply double-sided tape to the underside.
  2. Fit the transmitter (large) and the magnet (small) separately: the transmitter on the fixed frame, the magnet on the moving part of the door.
  3. Make sure the small triangles on the transmitter and the magnet point towards each other. The gap between them must not exceed 10 mm.
  4. Open the door after fitting the sensor. If the light stays on for 2 seconds, the installation is successful.

Also keep the following in mind:

  • The transmission range is 100 metres without obstacles. Test the range before you fix the sensor in place, because obstacles can affect the transmission range.
  • On a steel door, keep the gap between the transmitter and the magnet as small as possible.
  • Do not place several detectors in the same area. They can interfere with each other if they are triggered at the same time.
  • For door sensor B, remove the plastic battery insulation tab before first use.

Mounting the doorbell and inserting the battery

  1. Hold the lower cover firmly with your left hand. With your right hand, open the upper cover by pulling it outwards and upwards from the bottom.
  2. Insert the battery: 23A 12V alkaline.
  3. Hold the lower cover firmly with your left hand. With your right hand, first place the bottom of the upper cover against the bottom of the lower cover (at the battery end), then press the cover shut along the edges.
  4. The installation is complete.
